Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz 6L 2023

Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz 6L is a six-litre bottle of the winery's iconic Barossa blend, a true centrepiece.

Equal to eight standard bottles, this format is rarely made and even more rarely opened. Inside is the 2023 Signature, a label first produced in 1962 and dedicated each year to someone who has shaped the company. Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon gives structure while Shiraz fills the middle, and oak maturation ties them together. The wine is scarlet-crimson, with detailed aromas of dark chocolate, cassis, olive tapenade and black cherry, then florals, sage and liquorice. Its palate shows coffee, blue fruit and spice, with long tannins.

Reserve it for a landmark celebration. Let it rest upright for a few days, decant into several vessels, and pour at 17 to 18 degrees with roast meats for a large table.
