Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz Museum Release 2016

Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz Museum Release is a bottle-aged release of this long-running Barossa blend, cellared at the winery until it began to mature.

The Signature has been made since 1962, each vintage honouring a person important to the company's story. Museum stock is kept in the Angaston cellars in stable conditions, so the wine arrives with its development already well under way. The 2016 vintage was generous and refined, and this bottle is very deep and dense in colour, with red currant, perfumed cedar and savoury dried herbs. It is classically rich through the middle palate, with exotic florals and cranberry, and finishes with long, precise tannins.

Decant carefully, serve at around 17 degrees and enjoy with roast lamb, osso buco or a mature cheddar. It is drinking well now and will hold for years.
