Yalumba The Steeple Shiraz 2023

Yalumba The Steeple Shiraz is a Barossa Shiraz from old vines, made in a focused, savoury style.

Named after the steeples of the Barossa's historic churches, the wine comes from a planting of old Shiraz at Light Pass, where mature vines give small yields and intense flavour. Oak plays a supporting role, and the style favours fine tannins and freshness over sheer power. The cool, late 2023 vintage generally produced Barossa reds with lifted perfume and moderate alcohol, and at 14% this release fits that pattern.

Pour at around 17 degrees and try it with rosemary lamb, a beef and Guinness pie or grilled portobello mushrooms. Cellar with confidence for several years.
