Description

Yalumba Y Series Cabernet Sauvignon is an easy-drinking, fruit-forward South Australian Cabernet made in a vegan-friendly style.

Yalumba was founded in 1849 by English brewer Samuel Smith at Angaston in the Barossa, and it remains Australia's oldest family-owned winery. The Y Series is its approachable range, drawing on vineyards across South Australia to make wines that express the grape clearly and are ready to enjoy on release. This Cabernet keeps oak in the background so juicy red plum and violet can come through, with the variety's gentle structure giving it shape. Like the rest of the range, it is made without animal-derived fining agents, so it suits vegans.

Serve at around 16 to 18 degrees. It's an easy match for burgers, lamb cutlets, meatballs or a margherita pizza, and is made to drink now.
