Yalumba Y Series Merlot 2024

Yalumba Y Series Merlot is a bright, succulent Merlot from South Australia with soft tannins and plenty of juicy fruit.

Australia's oldest family-owned winery, Yalumba has been making wine at Angaston since 1849 and today works with growers right across South Australia. The Y Series range focuses on varietal character and drinkability, with every wine made in a vegan-friendly way. This Merlot is youthful and cheerful, with a round, generous palate, juicy red fruit and a touch of exotic spice, and its gentle tannins make it an easy-going red at the table. At 13.5% alcohol it stays fresh and approachable.

Pour it at around 15 to 17 degrees alongside chicken cacciatore, sausages and mash, lasagne or grilled vegetables.
