Yangarra Estate Circle Grenache 2024

Yangarra Estate Circle Grenache is a bush-vine red from the estate's biodynamic vineyards on the Blewitt Springs sands.

Blewitt Springs sits in the north-east corner of McLaren Vale, where deep ancient sand over clay drains hard and gives Grenache perfume rather than weight. Yangarra was bought by the Jackson family in 2000 and has been run since by the late Peter Fraser, who took it to certified biodynamic status and rebuilt it around southern Rhône varieties. The Circle range is named for the estate's own recycling of everything it grows. Fermentation is with native yeast and ageing in ceramic eggs and old oak.

Serve slightly cool at 16 degrees with roast lamb, charcuterie or grilled vegetables. Drink over the next eight years.
