Description

Yangarra Estate Vineyard Noir is a red blend built on Grenache from the estate's biodynamic McLaren Vale sands.

The Blewitt Springs sub-region's deep sand gives red wines lift and fine tannin rather than weight, which is why Yangarra rebuilt the property around Grenache and its southern Rhône companions. The estate has been certified biodynamic since 2013. Fermentation uses native yeast in open vessels, with ageing in older oak and ceramic so the site rather than the wood shows.

Serve at 16 degrees with lamb, duck or a mushroom dish. Drink over the next eight years.
