Yangarra Hickinbotham Grenache 1.5L MAGNUM 2020

Yangarra Hickinbotham Grenache comes from old vines on the Hickinbotham vineyard at Clarendon, above McLaren Vale.

Clarendon sits higher and cooler than the valley floor, on clay over ironstone rather than sand, which gives Grenache more structure and darker fruit than Yangarra's home vineyards at Blewitt Springs. The Hickinbotham vineyard was planted in 1971 and is farmed by the same Jackson family ownership. Fermentation is with native yeast and maturation in older oak and ceramic.

Serve at 16 degrees with roast lamb, game or mushroom dishes. It will develop over twelve years.
