Yangarra Ovitelli Blanc 1.5L MAGNUM 2023

Yangarra Ovitelli Blanc is a southern Rhône white fermented and matured in ceramic eggs, with a portion left on skins.

The 2023 blends Grenache Blanc with Grenache Gris, Roussanne, Clairette and Bourboulenc. Ovitelli means little eggs in Italian, and the unglazed ceramic lets the wine breathe without adding any wood character, which suits varieties built on texture rather than aroma. A substantial share of the blend is fermented on skins for months at a time. The fruit comes from the estate's certified biodynamic vineyards on the deep sands of Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale, planted exclusively to the grapes of the southern Rhône.

Serve at 11 degrees with roast chicken, pork belly or a soft cheese. Drink over the next six years.
