Yangarra Roux Beaute 1.5L MAGNUM 2024

Yangarra Roux Beauté is a single-block Roussanne from the estate's biodynamic vineyard at Blewitt Springs.

Roussanne is one of the two white grapes of the northern Rhône and is demanding to grow, ripening late and unevenly, but on McLaren Vale's deep sands it gives a white of real weight and structure. Yangarra planted it as part of a vineyard given over entirely to southern Rhône varieties, and bottles this block on its own. The wine spends an extended period on skins, around four months, and is fermented and matured in large ceramic eggs rather than oak.

Serve at 12 degrees with roast pork, rich fish or a washed-rind cheese. It develops over eight years.
