Description

Yokel Pet Nat Chenin Blanc 2021 is a bottle-fermented sparkling Chenin Blanc from the Swan Valley in Western Australia.

The Chenin Blanc was grown at Middle Swan in the Swan Valley, picked by hand and destemmed, then left to ferment on its skins for three days to build texture and colour before being pressed to tank to finish. Petillant naturel means the fizz comes from that single fermentation completing in bottle, with no second ferment and no added sparkling dosage. Chenin Blanc is a long-established Swan Valley variety.

Expect a dry, lightly sparkling white with orchard fruit, a cloudy appearance and the gentle grip that skin time brings. Serve cold at 6 to 8 degrees, open over a sink in case it is lively, and drink it with fried food, charcuterie, hard cheese or spicy dishes.
