Zalto Beer Glass Single Pack

A single beer glass in thin crystal, tapered so that a cold beer shows what it has.

Zalto Glas is a family glassworks in Austria's Kremstal, where every piece is mouth-blown by hand and made without lead, the bowls angled to 24, 48 and 72 degrees after the tilt of the earth. Fine glassware is not only for wine, and this piece is the clearest illustration of it in the range. The bowl narrows towards the rim, giving a head a defined space to form and hold rather than spreading thin and dropping away, and keeping the aromatics gathered where the drinker will meet them. Thin, mouth-blown walls put very little between the hand and the beer, and the rim is fine enough not to interrupt the first mouthful. The stem does real work too, keeping the warmth of the hand off the body of the glass through a long pour.

It suits any beer, from a pale lager to something dark and bitter, and is supplied as a single glass. Hand-wash in warm water without detergent and dry with a lint-free cloth.
