Zalto Glas is a family glassworks in Austria's Kremstal, where every piece is mouth-blown by hand and made without lead, the bowls angled to 24, 48 and 72 degrees after the tilt of the earth. The Digestive is the most restrained shape in the range. Its slim bowl draws inwards towards the rim, so a small measure of spirit sits beneath a narrow opening and the aromatics are funnelled up rather than allowed to spread and turn hot. That taper is what tells with fine, elegant distillates: floral, fruity and delicate notes arrive clearly and in order, without spirit heat covering them. The glass is thin and light in the hand, like the rest of the family, with no thickened rim between the drink and the drinker, and a stem long enough to keep warmth away from the bowl.

Made for aquavit, eau de vie and similar fine spirits, and sold here as a six pack. Hand-wash in warm water without detergent and dry with a lint-free cloth.
