Zalto Digestive Glass Single Pack

A single tapered stem for fine spirits, narrow enough to carry bouquet ahead of alcohol.

Zalto Glas is a family glassworks in Austria's Kremstal, where every piece is mouth-blown by hand and made without lead, the bowls angled to 24, 48 and 72 degrees after the tilt of the earth. The Digestive is the slimmest shape Zalto makes, and the taper is the reason for it. The bowl closes towards the rim, so a small measure sits beneath a narrow opening and its aromatics are gathered and delivered in a line rather than dispersing. With fine, elegant spirits that means floral, fruity and delicate notes reach the nose first, with spirit heat held behind them. The build follows the rest of the range: mouth-blown walls that stay thin all the way to the lip, a stem long enough to keep the hand clear of the bowl and no decoration to interrupt the shape.

Made for aquavit, eau de vie and other fine spirits, and supplied here as a single glass. Hand-wash in warm water without detergent and dry with a lint-free cloth.
