Zalto Glas is a family glassworks in Austria's Kremstal, where every piece is mouth-blown by hand and made without lead, the bowls angled to 24, 48 and 72 degrees after the tilt of the earth. The W1 Coupe belongs to the same hand-blown discipline as the wine stems, and the difference shows the moment it is picked up: the wall is thin, the weight is low and the rim is fine enough to disappear against the lip. The wide, shallow bowl opens the surface of a small serve, which suits neat spirits and stirred drinks where aromatics should reach the nose immediately rather than being funnelled. The same shape works plainly for water and soft drinks. In crystal clear, there is nothing in the glass to distract from the colour of what is in it.

Use it for neat spirits, mixed drinks, water and soft drinks; supplied as a six pack. Hand-wash in warm water without detergent and dry with a lint-free cloth.
