Zalto Glas is a family glassworks in Austria's Kremstal, where every piece is mouth-blown by hand and made without lead, the bowls angled to 24, 48 and 72 degrees after the tilt of the earth. The White Wine shape keeps the bowl compact so a cool serve stays cool, and the rim closes in enough to hold aromatic lift in a tight line rather than letting it disperse. That makes it the natural choice for young Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and other racy aromatics, and for young Chablis, where the point is precision rather than breadth. Lighter-bodied reds do well in it for the same reason. Anyone who knows the Riedel Riesling and Sangiovese shape will find this the closest match in the Zalto range, and it is the one we reach for with Sherry, some sparkling wines and spirits as well.

A sound general glass for both whites and reds, and for fortified wines and spirits; supplied as a two pack. Hand-wash in warm water without detergent and dry with a lint-free cloth.
